Adopting the latest LED technology, LED downlight has become very popular among consumers both at home and abroad for many of its advantages which we have introduced in our previous articles. Well, although there are countless benefits of using the downlight, it is unavoidable to meet some problems during the using process just as you use other products actually. Well, there must be some people who have confronted with the buzzing led downlight, right? How did you do to solve the buzz? You should read this article carefully if you want to find the reasons and soultions to the buzzing led downlight.

Well, one of the reason for your buzzing led downlight is that the downlight you choose is not in accordance with the following factors that should be taken into your consideration. When looking at leds, you need to consider: a) color temperature. There are warm white and cool white downlights both in domestic and international markets. b) Lumen maintenance or how bright the bulb will be in a few months. You should ensure its lifespan with Lm70 or 80. This indicates the number of hours until the light drops to 70 percent or 80 percent. You should know this cleary when you selecting led, or it should be provided by the manufacturers. Or you know what I mean that just walk away if the manufacturer can't give you the clear answer. c) Colour rendering is another aspect that should be taken into your consideration. The CRI should be on a scale of 0.8+ or 80+ depending on the scale used. d) Beam angle. With all downlight types, a broad beam is generally better, for LED lamps it is very much a case of bigger is best

Generally, downlight come into 2 types, the GU10 230V downlights and the MR16 12V Downlights. The MR16 12V Downlights have a transformer which changes the mains power into a low voltage and the bulb is then powered by that low voltage. As to GU10 230V downlights, they are connected directly to the main power and operate at 230V. And you can get led bulbs for both types of downlight.

And the buzzing normally accurs only when you try and dim a non-dimmable LED, or whenyou use an incompatible dimmer with an led, or when you try and use a standard transformer on an led, or when you use a poor quality led which does not meet EMC requirements. The buzz may also be caused by something else in the house, like hair driers, fridge and other electric appliances with an electric motor in it. Ok, it is easy for you to find the solution if you have know these reasons actually.
