Various kinds of LED lights can be found easily. LED lights, including led downlights, are not only the simple illumination tools, but also the decorative accessories for parties, or Christmas lighting. LED lights come in different sizes, colors and designs. In comparison with traditional fluorescent lights, the LED lights are more modern, fashion actually. They are designed cool to touch to make it an alternative to traditional lights. Do you know how to hang LED lights?

Step 1
Prepare things you will need, like measuring tape, LED light strands, heavy staples, cup hooks, suction cup mounted hooks, twist ties, zip ties, tree clips, gutter hooks, picture hangers, shingle clips and so forth.

Step 2
Measure the space where you will hang your LED lights. And determine whether LED lights strands will run straight across, dip for a swag effect or wind around.

Step 3
Determine the number of strands you need for straight runs by using the exact total measurement plus a few inches. Then you should multiply the number of inches straight across the area to be lit by  1 1/2 to 3 times to form swags.

Step 4
Multiply the diameter of the structure by 3.14 to calculate the maximum circumference of trees or posts. Calculate the distance from an electrical source for plug-in lights and add that distance to the total number of inches needed.

Step 5
Use heavy staples over the strands for a quick and secure mount to wooden surfaces. Attach wires to smooth metal or glass surfaces with suction-mounted hooks.

Step 6
You are advised to wrap strands without fasteners around posts or trees starting around the bottom and wrapping tightly. Hang lights from structure with a lip, like a gutter by using small "S" hooks.

Step 7
Fasten strands securely with little or no damage to surfaces by using picture hangers or clear, plastic adhesive-backed clips on indoor walls, door frames to fasten the strands securely with little or no damage to surfaces. Employ special "shingle clips" of metal or plastic to fasten lights on roofs. For more detailed information about LED lights, you are advised to visit www.lgiled.com
