Instruction on Wiring LED Lights in Series From:http://www.lgiled.com   Reporter:   Date:2013/9/22 19:53:52   Tags:led-replacement-fluorescent-tubes led-candelabra-bulbs

LED lights, including led panel light, are really popular for many of its advantages. It is an increasingly popular alternative to traditional incandescent lights since it is eco-friendly, energy-saving and so forth. In comparison with the traditional lights, LED lights have won for many of its pros. But only when led lights are wired correctly, can they provide your expected illumination effect.

Step 1
Prepare things you will need, like calculator, wiring suitable for the voltage used, battery clips, soldering iron, solder and so forth.

Step 2
Determine the voltage of the power supply. In general, LED linked in series each consume some of the avialable volts, so it determines the quantity of LED you will link in your series circuit.

Step 3
Devide the battery voltage by forward voltage of the individual LEDs if you want to calculate the maximum number of LEDs. The technical data sheet for the type of LED will state the forward voltages. You are advised to avoid exceeding the available voltage.

Step 4
You should solder a battery clip to one end of a wire, which will connect to the positive side of the power supply. You are advised to solder the longer leg of the first LED to the other end of the wire. Solder the remaining LED together in a line.

Step 5
Solder a wire to the negative leg of the final LED. You are advised to attach the battery clip to the other end of the wire if the combined led voltage exactly equals the voltage of the power supply. Connect both battery clips to the battery to complete the circuit. Then add a resistor to the circuit if the LED voltage does not exactly match the battery voltage.
