Led panel light

Down lights using light-emitting diode as its light source are LED down lights. In early days, LED down lights were not popular, because they did not emit strong lights as halogens did. Today LEDs can emit strong and focused light to rival that of a halogen or a softer, or more diffused light. The led down light has some other advantages over other ones. It boasts of unparalleled energy efficiency. A LED light bulb can last for nearly 50,000 hours, while most of halogens or CFL are expected to last no mare than 5,000 hours. Incandescent bulbs last only about 1,000 hours. Though their advantages far outweigh their disadvantages, there are still something to bear in mind about LED down light. Despite of the improvement in LED technology, it is still necessary to install more LEDs to achieve the same intensity of light as produced by halogens. LED lights are moneysaving in the long tern. Though they are more expensive than traditional lights, but this is offset by an up to 90% saving on your energy consumption and they will outlast the traditional ones. Similar to LED down light, LED panel light boasts of a unique combination of practical use and excellent quality.

There are specifications for almost everything produced, so it is true of lightings and light fittings. We often come across the “IP rating”. Then what is it? And how will it help you to choose a suitable lighting? In simple word, IP ratings are the specifications or code that grade factor given to any light fitting against the touching of the electrical part and protection against the access of solid objects. Besides, it specifies protection against the harmful ingress of liquids to the light fitting. The IP rating is internationally referred to as the “international protected” code or the “ingress protected” code. There are two digits concerning how to define its level of protection- an "x" is used as one of the digits if there is only one class of protection.

The European Standard EN 60529 outlines the IP ratings as an international classification system for "enclosures for electrical equipment" as follows: The first digit of the IP code represents the degree that persons are protected against contact with moving arts and the degree. The degree is protected against solid foreign bodies. Well, there is also another digit which is used to indicates the degree of protection of the equipment inside the enclosure. All in all, to choose led downlight really is a perfect choice.
