LED lights, or light emitting diodes are quickly becoming one of the most efficient sources of light. In comparison with traditional halogen light and fluorescent light, it has longer lasting life and consumes less energy. They have been regarded as one of the most effective light source for the home and other places. Do you want to know how to solder the led bulb easily by yourself? Follow me to get more details.

Step 1
Prepare things you will need, like soldering iron, rosin core solder, 3M scotch Brite cleaning pads, flux remover compound, led light, circuit board and so forth.

Step 2
Prepare the soldering iron for your use. You should tin the tip of the soldering iron by coating it in solder whether you have a new soldering iron or you are using the old one. You are advised to coat the entire end of the soldering iron with solder which will allow the solder to transfer to your project more smoothly.

Step 3
Prepare the circuit board surface. You can use the scotch brite pad to clean the surface of the circuit board.

Step 4
LED should be placed on the circuit board. Then two leads should be inserted from the led into the pre-drilled holes in  your circuit board in the location where you want to have the LED. Bend the ends of these 2 leads slightly and carefully to avoid the part from falling over when soldering.

Step 5
You should solder the LED in place. Heat one lead of the led with your soldering iron. You are not advised to touch the tip of the soldering iron to the solder directly. If you need the heat from the lead to melt the solder into the connection joint, you are advised to touch the tip of the solder to the LED. Allow small pool of solder to appear at the base of the lead which will hold the LED in place.

Step 6
After what have been done above, you should inspect the joint to ensure that the solder had fully connected the LED to the circuit board. Ensure that there are no loose connections. Reheat the loose soldered joint if you find any loose connection actually.
